TEDxYouth@Newtown event sparks visionary discussion at the Yardley Community Centre

YARDLEY BOROUGH >> The inaugural TEDxYouth@Newtown event was hosted at the historic Yardley Community Center on Saturday, Sept. 22. The all youth-organized event was a sellout and attracted students and adults across the Pennsylvania and New Jersey area

The event featured young speakers, sharing their vision and goals and how science and technology will have a significant impact on the next generation. Speaker after speaker shared their vision from innovative research to curing cancer, space exploration and building smart materials.

Vineeth Veeramachaneni, the founder and organizer of TEDxYouth@Newtown, shared his vision of bringing the event to his hometown so students can bring new perspectives and ask questions no one thought of before and for the adults to listen what the next generation is capable of in their own words.

The event was attended by State Representative Perry Warren who was happy to see young students participating in challenging conversations about the future and presenting their ideas. The event was highlighted by performances from Lexi Harman from Pennsbury School and Sindhu Yaramosu of The Pennington School.
